ABB-1, also known as the Presidential Car and the MacArthur Carriage, is one of the de luxe Metropolitan coaches of the Manila Railroad Company.
History[]
Originally called "Car 1" it is one of the twenty five coaches manufactured by the Metropolitan Carriage and Wagon Company for the Manila Railroad in 1913, air-conditioning was installed when President Manuel L. Quezon used it as his private coach, sometime in 1945, Col. Frank Russell used it as a special train, hauled by DEL 8593.
Its air-conditioning was later repaired, repainted to the MRR Yellow Red livery and used by succeeding presidents and Foreign guests.
After its retirement, it was displayed beside the Old Caloocan station along with SL No. 17, by late 1983, both were transferred to the Old Tutuban Terminal, it was painted in bright blue-green and yellow.
During the 97th anniversary of the cornerstone laying of Tutuban Terminal in July 31, 1984, a historical marker was unveiled by the National Historical Institute.
It was last spotted in 1991, heavily covered with vegetation.

A marker was installed beside the Presidential Car when its location was transferred from the Horace Higgins Hall in Caloocan to the Tutuban station in 1984.
Ipinagawa ng Manila Railroad Company (ngayon e National Railways) para sa Punong Tagapagpaganap ng Bansa sa Metropolitan Wagon and Finance Company., Ltd. sa Birmingham, Inglatera, noong 1913. Ginamit na sasakyan ng Pangulong Manuel L. Quezon nang makipagtalakayan sa mga pinuno ng pamahalaan tungkol sa mga isyung pambansa bago mag-ikalawang digmaang pandaigdig at ng sumunod na mga pangulo nang opisyal na dumalaw sa mga lalawigan sa Hilaga at Timog Luzon, gayudin ng ilang matataas na pinuno ng ibang bansa tulad nina Prinsipe Akihito at Prinsesa Michiko ng Hapon, Haring Bhumibol Adulyadej at Reyna Sirikit ng Thailand, At Hen. Built for the Chief Executive of the country, to the Manila Railroad Company (Philippine National Railways today) from the Metropolitan Wagon and Finance Company., Ltd of Birmingham, England in 1913.
