Calamba is station serving Calamba City, Laguna. It serves the Manila-Legazpi Line, Batangas Line and formerly the Santa Cruz-Pagsanjan Line.
History[]
Calamba was opened on January 24, 1909.
Informations[]
- Calamba was the terminus of the Santa Cruz-Pagsanjan Line until Junction (College) station was erected as a station for the Los Baños-San Pablo Line.
- The original station building of Calamba was a concrete structure similar with those at Santa Rosa and Santo Tomas, La Union, it was destroyed in 1945 and a wooden station with a brick base was erected on the same site, a new station building was built and opened in 2014, replacing the old one.
- Despite its historical significance, no protests were held during the demolition, probably because the demolished station building was not the original one erected in 1909.
