Guagua is a station situated on the defunct Carmen Line. It serves Guagua, Pampanga.
History[]
Guagua was opened on November 12, 1907 as part of the establishment of a branch line of the Manila-Dagupan Line from San Fernando, Pampanga to Floridablanca, the line was chartered 5 days later.
Informations[]
The station code of Guagua is GU.
Like the original stations at Santa Mesa, and Cabanatuan, Guagua was also erected using corrugated iron sheets.
The dead end track of the station was extended to a double ended siding by 85 m in 1939.
A turntable for rail motor cars was erected in 1941.
Errors[]
Guagua was incorrectly featured in the 2015 film "Heneral Luna" although the Carmen (Floridablanca) line only existed 8 years after the events of the film, also the station structure was based on the 2nd Damortis station, the station was supposed to be San Fernando P.
