History

Guinobatan was opened on 1914 as part of the railroad from Tabaco to Iriga via Legazpi. Due to flood damages in 1976, a new alignment for the railroad right of way was proposed where it will pass Comun in Daraga, Albay instead of Camalig, this lead to the closure of the original Guinobatan station and was replaced by Travesia, services to Legazpi were restored on February 23, 1986.
