Lipa is a station on the defunct Batangas line.

History[]

Lipa was opened on June, 1910. Due to its importance in transporting sugar, the section from Calamba to Lipa was rehabilitated after the war and reopened on June 21, 1950, however, passenger rail motor traffic was discontinued after only a year due to low ridership.

  • Before the station building was demolished, a communication tower was erected nearby, after services on the Batangas Line ceased operations, informal settlers slowly took over the right-of-way yard, the station building of Lipa was demolished by a residents but not the tower.
    • The station building was still intact in the late 1980s.
